Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. The singer combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. Avery Sunshine's work has led her across Broadway to European events and clubs, and even to at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's title is Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang as well as was a pianist. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. In 2005, she was the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls which was a stage production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention throughout the four performances of The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
